Born:  5/24/82

Statch is about 24 years old.   We’ve been told she was a champion show Saddlebred in her day.  She’s about 16 hands tall and is very elegant and refined.

 

Though Statch and Tender had been loved and pampered their whole lives, their living conditions changed for the worse when their previous owner fell on hard times. 

 

We heard about their plight and invited them both to Deer Haven in 2002 for a cushy retirement. 

 

They’re now our horses and we love them both!

We lost Statch from natural causes on December 7.  Her passing was very peaceful and she was surrounded by the people she had grown to love and who loved her so, so deeply.

 

She will be forever remembered and her spirit cherished.  Statuesque was a special equine gift that every human would be blessed to receive.
