Marky is a very nice lower-level dressage mount and great for first time riders.  She is started over fences.  She is well broke to drive and would do a great job at CDE’s or pleasure driving.  Marky gives a great lunge line lesson, even for very small children.  Marky is a very sweet, obedient mare, and with her extra long mane and forelock is every little girl’s (or big girl’s!) dream pony.

Marky has taken good care of every rider we’ve put on her back and has always given her best to her humans.  She’s demonstrated her patience and flexibility — and performance versatility.  She has turned in a respectable performance in every discipline we’ve introduced her to.

Her sire, Notable WBF , is mannerly and quiet with exceptional conformation.  His pedigree is layered with World Champions.  Notable has proven himself in dressage and CDE’s, making some impressive showings!  Marky’s dam, Magdalena CCF, is by the great stallion Magenta Wulf,  National Grand Champion in halter, National Champion in dressage and National Show Jumping Champion, jumping heights of 58-60”.

In August 2007 we introduced Marky to rails and fences in a clinic given by event trainer Jennifer Rousseau.  Until that day, she had never even seen a jump standard, ground pole or rail so we were thrilled that she just took it all in stride (video of  the clinic above).  Marky entered the dressage circuit in Spring ‘08, following a February ‘08 dressage clinic by Kate Fleming-Kuhn.  She impressed the clinician and other participants with her talent and obedience.  Marky spent the summer of 2008, at Camp Piomingo, a respected YMCA Horse Camp, teaching several rounds of campers about driving, vaulting, dressage, jumping and all around horsemanship.  The kids loved her and she soaked in all the attention.

She’ll give you her best everyday.

Markaysa has moved to a wonderful new home on the Virginia coast.   She will be teaching little girls to ride and will be a trustworthy equine companion to a slightly older ‘girl’!  Marky will have several different equine jobs — making her really the epitome of the versatile Haflinger.

Bye bye Marky—we will be missing you and cheering you on!
