This filly bears a striking resemblance to her dam. Harmony is all legs, uphill with a strong, free shoulder and a beautiful, refined head. Her striking appearance will definitely turn heads in the dressage or driving arenas. Her affable personality makes her desirable for youth or adult amateur, but has plenty of serious ability for a professional.
Harmony has been handled since birth and has great ground manners. She loads, bathes, leads, willingly picks up her feet for the farrier. She will just be starting saddle training in early 2010. If you prefer to start your own, now is the time to snap up this elegant filly.
Harmony is the product of great breeding and is a full sister to Havanna. Her dam, Hofina, was imported by New Trend Farm from Austria and is the epitome of the perfect Haflinger. She has a sweet, people-loving personality, super conformation, beautiful extended movement, gorgeous deep chestnut color. She is by the World Champion Stallion, Winterstein and out of the exquisite mare, Hera.
Harmony’s sire, Avanti, is an elegant National Grand Champion Stallion, 149 cm, Silver-rated with huge, suspended movement (scored '9' in Overall Movement on his stallion inspection). He has more than one dressage championship under his belt and truly enjoys competing and capturing the spotlight. Just after starting his jumping career he won every combined training competition in which he was entered. He was selected by Horse Illustrated magazine as their centerfold representation of the Haflinger in their March, 2008 issue. Avanti is now competing at 2nd level dressage and his trainers believe he has plenty of talent to keep him moving up the levels.
