Having been a broodmare for most of her life, Maggie is now looking for a forever home with a human of her own to pamper her like she deserves. Sweet and sane, she walks, trots, and has done some canter under saddle. Although relatively inexperienced as a riding horse, her age and personality make her appropriate for all riders. She hacks out around the farm alone or with a group and has attended a dressage schooling show, competing at Introductory Level. Maggie also has plenty of experience as a driving horse, making her an ideal candidate for someone looking to do a little bit of everything.

Maggie’s sire was national grand champion in halter, national champion in dressage and national show jumping champion, jumping heights of 58-60”. Maggie inherited her father’s beautiful elevated movement and elegant features.

Maggie has given us 5 fabulous foals – Andy of Deer Haven, Markaysa DHFK, Notable Nugget DHFK, Arizona DHFK and Avondale of Deer Haven.

Maggie has moved to Dripping Springs, TX — just outside of Austin — to share a home with 2 Haflinger mares, Heleena (also from Deer Haven) and Val. Thanks Laurie J. for giving Maggie a great retirement home — hope you 2 share many happy hours of riding together!
